so wednesday morning i flew into chicago.
wednesday afternoon we drove to south bend, indiana for a few days to visit notre dame.
we're leaving tomorrow afternoon to go back to chicago until wednesday.
anyway.
this hotel room is freezing.
i'm going to warped next sunday and brand new on monday. warped will probably suck; i'm only going to see against me!, the blackout pact, catch 22, bouncing souls, and saves the day. but brand new will be awesome.
smartwater is fantastic. too bad it costs $1.70 a bottle.
gas in chicago is almost 4 dollars.
jesus christ.
speaking of which, i saw jim caviezal (the guy who plays jesus in passion of the christ) in the notre dame bookstore wednesday afternoon.
it was crazy, especially since it was on the campus of a catholic school and jesus was literally everywhere.
if i were a christian, it would have made me think the rapture was coming or something. i just thought it was cool.
i hate my laptop almost as much as i hate hot topic.
this thing is so slow.
good god.
i'm tired.

i go to chicago in two weeks. i was going to go to the bloc party show on the 25th but it's at noon and i'll be in south bend then. whatever, i don't really like them anyway. i got tickets for the roots in austin today though and that's gonna be fly.
today i woke up at 6 a.m. and went up to austin, FINALLY FOUND THE REAL WORLD HOUSE, took a picture of it, longboarded, had a free world burrito, got some ice cream at amy's, met josh's sister who's an intern at victory, we discussed with honor for five minutes or so, then i went to st. edward's university and watched some baseball and returned swiftly to mcdonalds to get a mcflurry and then came home and it was pretty rad.
on the way back dewgor and i stopped at sundance records in san marcos to buy brand new tickets and roots tickets. then the dewginator went to fazoli's and got us breadsticks and we drove home.
good times.
i'm seeing the omen again on monday with meaghan and her friend from louisiana which should be interesting. i was on the phone with her till almost one last night (or this morning, however you count it) but my phone died, which was gheyz0rz.
i bought a pin at sundance that says "vote republican: the other ones don't get counted anyway" and a black power pin.
i talked to some skaters outside of gil's about modern life is war because one of the kids had an mliw shirt on. they were pretty cool, one of them was huge.
i have watched the mtv movie awards 6 times now. and i still hate AFI.
so in conclusion today was pretty awesome. |

As I said before, school gets out on Friday and I am ridiculously psyched for summer. I'm going to Chicago in a few weeks and in July I'm going to Colorado to stay at Quinn's for a couple weeks.
I bought tickets to Brand New/Nightmare of You at La Zona Rosa online tonight. I can't wait. I'm also gonna see them on July 16th in Denver with Sarah and Jenna and it's gonna be absolutely amazing.
A few days ago Pascal talked to me about starting a band, and once I have some free time I'll definitely get together with him and play, but since he's apparently moving to Austin this fall, I don't know how long it would last. Because honestly, I'm not willing to make the commute. Even if we are any good.
I can't wait to go to Clemens next year.
Actually, I take that back. There are a lot of really cool people there, but some of them are graduating, and for every cool person, there are a lot more extremely lame people.
But whatever.

I went to the IDF show on Friday with Meaghan and they were absolutely killer.
And last night I talked to Sarah on the phone for like 2 hours until my phone died. Lame.
